My name is Callum Wood, I am 22 Years Old with an avid interest in everything to do with Soccer. I started playing Soccer at a very young age, Playing within the Junior Premier League and trialing out at Academies across England. Getting trained by some great coaches in which I learned a lot and really developed my skills. I Played at a high level of Soccer in England from the age of 16- 20. I took my skills into futsal, playing for Exeter City Futsal team for 2 years alongside studying. If you are into Soccer i highly recommend getting involved in Futsal to boost your skills whilst having lots of fun. I played most of my youth as a goalkeeper but switched my position to being a field player at 16. I Unfortunately tore my Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and ruptured my Meniscus at the age of 17, putting me out of action for a while. This is the point in where i learned vast amounts about myself as an athlete and person, where i decided to start taking my Soccer knowledge into Coaching!
I began my coaching career at multiple Grass Roots teams within England. Helping out local teams and youth players to really enjoy the sport and develop their skills and understanding of the game to be like their Idols. I moved on to Coach at Exeter City within their player development programme for 2 years where the coaching was more intense and this is where players would push on to play academy Soccer. I first came out to the states with Challenger Sports and coaching their "Train like a pro" summer camps, travelling across 10 different states over a 3 month period helping 12-18 year old develop through intense professional practice. This included classroom sessions, recovery sessions and strength and conditioning sessions to name a few. I have also coached at Seacoast United in Massachussets and Inter Atlanta in Georgia where i continue my journey of coaching within the United States. My long perm plan is to take this as far as possible and have a successful career within adult Soccer through Coaching, Analysis and Scouting.

Helping out Future Athletes to get to their goal in sport is what motivates me to have this as my career. I want to be able to use my knowledge from all areas of my life in and out of sport in order to mentor others into improving their performance. Giving back to the sport i love, that gave me so many memories and great times throughout my youth. But, i want to give these athletes who want to put in the extra work my upmost attention of how they can achieve their dreams. This is what CW3 Coaching will allow me to do. Improve player performance through my own resources and knowledge to separate them from the rest of the competition. There is always more work you can put in, and it starts here at CW3!
